Tuna Crudo

Introduction

You are aware of my love (Tuna Crudo) for raw fish and my plenty of salmon crudo recipes, but this tuna variation is truly delicious. Although there is no agency policing the term “sushi grade fish,” I still like to purchase fish with this label to offer an extra layer of safety because I will be eating it raw.

Why You’ll Love Tuna Crudo

This is an incredible crudo. Particularly when paired with the ginger-scallion sauce. FIT TO DIE FOR! This is incredibly flavorful, spicy, fresh, and amazing. This recipe gets a nice texture and touch from the crunchy carrots on top.

Recepie

To remove excess oil, first cook the carrots in olive oil until they turn a light golden color. Then, set them over paper towels.

Second, combine the scallions with the salsa macha/chili crisp, Fresno peppers, sesame oil, orange, ginger, rice vinegar, and mirin. Give it 15 to 20 minutes to sit.

Finally, pour the sauce through a strainer onto a platter, put the fish in a lovely arrangement, and then top with the chunky portion of the sauce, carrots, lemon zest, micro cilantro, and extra salsa macha.

Substitutions and Variations for Tuna Crudo

You may swap out the tuna for whatever fish you like, including salmon or yellowtail.
Instead of using salsa macha, you can use chili oil or chili crisp.
Tamari can be substituted with soy sauce.
Use your preferred herbs or whatever herbs you happen to have on hand.
